#3 Let's do Kanji Puzzle!!!

Let's do Kanji Puzzle!!!

Hi all! How are you doing? Are you still struggling to learn Kanji?? Hmm.. don't hate Kanji. They're so cute, aren't they? Let me give you a tip to love them. 海 池 滝 These Kanji are in the same group. Do you know why? Yes, they have the same parts '氵' which is called さんずい(sanzui). And basicallymeans 'water'. Therefore 海 means sea. 池 means pond. 滝 means waterfall. It's easy to imagine, isn't it? So in this lesson, I'm gonna teach you 部首(bushu) such as 氵. According to study, there're over 200 Bushu in Kanji. So let's have a look from 1 to 100 for now. :) Huh? That's a lot? Sry I'm joking. :P I'm gonna show you only 7 types of 部首. That's enough for learning basic Kanji (I mean 常用漢字). And when you learn new Kanji you'll notice Kanji has other parts as you know. So after this lesson, you'll be able to guess what that Kanji means. :) This is why I said Kanji is like a puzzle. Sounds fun, doesn't it? :) Anyway, let's have a look. 亻 にんべん is used for Kanji relating human, peaople. 亻looks like a 人 meaning human, doesn't it? e.g. 亻is used for 体 からだ[n] body 侍 さむらい[n] samurai, japanese soldier 作る つくる[v] to make, craft 使う つかう[v] to use 休む やすむ[v] to rest *Can you guess why 休む means to rest? In 休, can you see people is resting by tree? Not really? Ok, never mind. Lol 艹 くさかんむり is used for Kanji relating plant or leaf. e.g. 艹 is used for 草 くさ[n] plant 花 はな[n] flower 芽 め[n] leaf bud 茶 ちゃ[n] tea 苺 いちご[n] strawberry 葉 は[n] leaf 言 ごんべん is used for Kanji relating word, speech. e.g. 言 is used for 訳 やく/わけ[n] translation, reason, cause 詞 し[n] lyrics 話す はなす[v] to speak 語る かたる[v] to talk 記す しるす[v] to take a note 氵 さんずい is used for Kanji relating water. e.g. 氵 is used for 海 うみ[n] sea, ocean 池 いけ[n] pond 滝 たき[n] waterfall 波 なみ[n] wave 泳ぐ およぐ[v] to swim 洗う あらう[v] to wash 扌 てへん is used for Kanji relating hand. e.g. 扌 is used for 指 ゆび[n] finger 打つ うつ[v] to hit 投げる なげる[v] to throw 押す おす[v] to push 抱く だく[v] to hug 持つ もつ[v] to hold 犭 けものへん is used for Kanji relating animal. e.g. 犭 is used for 犬 いぬ[n] dog 猫 ねこ[n] cat 狐 きつね[n] fox 狸 たぬき[n] raccoon 猪 いのしし[n] boar 猟 る かる[v] to hunt 月 にくづき is used for Kanji relating body. e.g. 月is used for 胸 むね[n] chest 腕 うで[n] arm 胴 どう[n] trunk, torso 肺 はい[n] lung 背 せ[n] back 肩 かた[n] shoulder 腰 こし[n] waist 腹 はら[n] belly *I don'y wanna confuse you but there is other Kanji using 月. It's called つきへん and used for Kanji relating date such as 期 and 朝. 月 as にくづき was originally 肉 meaning meet. This is why it's called にくづき. How was today's puzzle? Did it make sense to you? They're mere examples. Therefore sometimes the peice doesn't fit. But just use today's lesson as a clue. Now you can guess what 酒 is. I want it right now. I'm kinda addicted it. (´・ω・) Kanji is fun, isn't it? haha I hope you liked Kanji more than before. I'll call it a day. Thanks. Peace. ありがとうございました!
